Ms. Xochitl
Xochitl Salcido is the founder and creative mind behind Kids Korner Explorers. She is passionate about creating a safe and kind space where children can explore, build community and love of learning.
She received BS in Human Development/Education from San Diego State University with a speciality in Early Childhood Education .
Xochitl comes with over 18 years of experience working with babies to adolescents, in various educational settings and roles, from Lead Teacher to Mentor to Private Tutor and currently her favorite role, homeschooling Mama to her 7 year old son.
Xochitl is inspired by the philosophy of Reggio Emilia, a child-centered approach to learning. She views children as naturally curious, capable and competent learners. She facilities educational opportunities to explore, investigate, build emotional intelligence and seek answers to relevant questions. By facilitating learning through a play-based approach, she believes it empowers young children to be creative and grow into critical thinkers.
Ms. Xochitl leads the K-2 classes and Preschool classes.
